Romanian Babies Project

Subud members have been funding this project through Susila Dharma Canada from the time that Helina van Zeggelen spent 3 months volunteering in Romania in 2004. The funds were used to buy food, diapers, shampoo and vitamins for the babies and pay a small salary to three local women hired to work in the Children’s Hospital.
Recently the situation regarding access to the hospital in Romania has changed, due to new government regulations. But Helina has advised us of a new worthwhile project to help with the education and literacy of Roma kids and their parents in some very run-down Romanian villages.
Please note that donations can no longer be sent through Susila Dharma Canada. If you would still like to support this initiative, contributions are very welcome and can be made directly through the Canadian National Christian Foundation (CNCF), which will issue tax receipts.
